These are just a few of the testimonials from parents whose children have attended Coerver Southeast soccer camps and club players who have benefitted from Coerver Soccer Training.
What an awesome game, the girls did an incredible job. Thank you Carl for the kind words about Megan's play, I am very proud of her. I would really like to thank the coaches for their time and dedication to this team. There is absolutely no doubt these girls are being taught how to pay Soccer as individuals and as a team, the coaching success is demonstrated on the field. The skill and talent of all the players under the Coever system just blows me away. Having coached Megan for the past 5 years and being a typical parent who wants his child to do the best they can, I have had a hard time being quiet on the sideline. I appreciate the reminder, understand the philosophy and I will cooperate fully. Thanks again for all you guys do.

To all U15 TCU players and parents,
First and foremost, a sincere thank you for allowing Abby to guest play with your team in the USclubsoccer national championship. Secondarily, as I told all players at the tournament, "Thank You" for allowing me to train the team during our participation in the tournament. Metaphorically speaking, I described the team as a luxury car that when asked to go faster or through obstacles, accomplished the command. It again was my pleasure. As I witnessed the level of play first hand that our players faced match after match, I relished in the small battles and victories that occurred in the field of play, There were pockets of time and space that we and only we controlled and occupied. A true measure of success on the soccer field is one of work rate and personal accomplishment, not necessarily on the number of goals scored. On that note, I must say that your club and overall organization is "VERY" lucky to have the Coerver curriculum as a synergistic part of each players individual development. I as a Director of coaching adopted the curriculum over 5 years ago and can honestly attest to the impact that the methodology can have on a player. Utilizing this method of teaching the game, I have had the privilege of coaching 7 previous players that have gone on to represent the state of Georgia in their respective (ODP) Olympic Development age brackets and still continue to train with me. As an Academy coordinator for a local club, I and my staff indoctrinate our youngest participants in this process because it truly does work. My U15 boys and U19 women also enjoy the curriculum because of the fact that no one ever took the time to give them these tools to succeed in the future. When your players decided many years ago to embark in "select" or competitive soccer they extrinsically decided to try to reach a higher level of play individually. Coerver coaching and participation changes this motivation to an intrinsic type of thought process. With the confidence that players will have on the field, everything improves exponentially from confidence to game awareness which all leads to speed of play which is what we all witnessed at the national championship. Players can depend on their team to take "them" to the next level or they can depend on "themselves" to reach the next level. I am sure that you will all agree that our players all or most want to play in college or at a higher level in the future. They will be alone during this process and must possess the skills that they are rehearsing now. Thank you all for your time and energy as I give you some food for thought.

"They Came, They Saw, They Conquered"
(Coerver Camp at Titusville Soccer Club, Titusville, FL)
"In over thirty years of coaching I have never seen anything so well organized and so splendidly efficient. The world renowned Dutch Coerver Coaching School certainly delivered an extremely professional camp, where technical instruction was at a premium.
All 57 playing participants were treated with the utmost respect, instructed in a variety of both technical and tactical skills, in a fun filled environment which was conducive to both their growth and development. Every camper walked away at the end of a sun drenched and sweat soaked camp, where their unbridled joy was matched only by the soccer acumen they had just acquired.
After just day two, ten year old Allison Blue commented: " I am having so much fun and I have learnt fifteen tricks that I can name and demonstrate." Her mother echoed her enthusiasm and mentioned that she was now eager for her daughter to put them into practice.
From Beckenbauer to Rivelino, the coaches demonstrated the classical moves and with a sprinkling of legendary names, the would be Maradonas were treated to the likes of Stanley Matthews and ooh-aaah Cantonas, as Paul Gibbo Gibbons and his wonderful staff of coaches, put on a week long clinic that will no doubt last a lifetime in the minds of their young charges.
Gibbo’s trademark rapier wit was matched by the wizardry of his coaching staff, as they coaxed, cooed and coerced the very best out of the campers. With crazy hair days, it looks like I got dressed in the dark days, best coach impression days, talent show days and Anglo-American USA v England competitions, the players were instructed in a fun filled atmosphere.
Paul Gibbons is a liaison for the English Premier League’s West Bromwich Albion, having coached the Academy there, and he regularly gives clinics for world renowned professional clubs like RC Anderlecht of Belgium. There is a definite English influence in the coaching staff with Gibbo and two of his assistants Matt Walby and Graham Whitehouse hailing from Old Blighty and Marti "Skittles" Yeager, who played soccer for Long Island University, providing the American touch.
Even though this was a TSC sponsored camp, and with Titusville providing the first port o’ call for Coerver in Brevard County, we had participation from MEGU Fusion, Three Lions, CBS, Divine Mercy, Port St John and Cocoa. We had children ranging in age from as young as five years old to eighteen, State Cup representation from the Melbourne contingent, and even two players who haven’t found a club yet but who can now boast that Coerver was their baptism into soccer.
The Coerver staff rewarded the players for their best efforts and thirteen year old MEGU State Cup player Allyssia Feronti won the best juggler award with over ninety touches, as she was supported each day by her sister Jessica from Three Lions and her parents John and Christine Feronti, who between them, covered and enthusiastically supported the camp each day.
Seven year old Kiersten Rosa and ten year old Mark Mosdell, both of Titusville Soccer Club , also won Coerver Play Like A Legend Videos for their juggling skills.
Twelve year old Paul Lahee and eleven year old Kelsey Lewis won best hair day awards and Kelsey followed up by winning best coach impression for her look-a-like of Matt Walby complete with watch affixed to her waistband. Both of them also won "It looks like I got dressed in the dark" competitions along with six year old Brooke Reid who also won the cutest camper of the week award.
Surfer look-a-like Matt Walby won the Most Popular Coach Award and fellow English instructor Graham Whitehouse treated the campers to a cricketing display as he pulled out his bat and ball, stumps and bales, and wowed his audience with his bowling skills.
Other ancilliary awards: eight year old Kieran Gomme – Personality of the Week and Camp Entertainer seven year old Preston Mizell who belted out Bruce Springsteen’s Born in the USA, along with his inimitable dancing style that would certainly be well at home in the Monty Python Ministry of Silly Walks skit!
TSC Head Coach Dean Moxley did a terrific job as the course facilitator and for ensuring that everything from A-Z was covered. Also Debbie Diesch and Kate Marple, both TSC Board Members did an outstanding job as site directors and despite the occasional rainfall, their effervescent enthusiasm ensured no one’s spirits were dampened.
We have already booked Coerver for next year’s camp and have locked in the last week of June (June 26-30, 2006).
This past week has been a triumph in every which way. The Coerver organization backed up everything they said and the players had a fun filled and rewarding experience, the lessons of which they will retain and utilize. Their joyous experience this year will no doubt have them eager for next year’s event."

"Dear Paul,
I wanted to take this opportunity to let you know how much your Coerver coaching program has meant to my two kids, Danny and Emily, as well as to the whole U-16 girls team which I have helped manage for the last three years. Many of these players, including both of mine, played in other clubs prior to joining Treasure Coast United (TCU) and rarely received the kind of structured training that is such a key part of the Coerver coaching method and is so important in establishing a full range of soccer skills. Since joining TCU and Coerver, the kids have grown steadily as soccer players and as young athletes and it shows not only when they play but when they practice and when they watch. The difference in just a few short years is really quite amazing! Frequently, myself or other managers get a compliment from the other team's coach or one of the referees about the high quality of our play and our sportsmanship. The kids understand and appreciate the game in a entirely new way which has really been a pleasure to watch and to be part of. Thanks!"

"Matthew McCarthy has now been associated with with Coerver Coaching and Treasure Coast United for the past three years and you can see a marked difference in the players skills from the beginning to end of each season and from year to year. Prior to Coerver Coaching, the training was always hit and miss with depending on the particular parent volunteer, which made player development difficult and inconsistent. The thing that separates Coerver Coaching and Treasure Coast United from other clubs in the area, is the consistent training and drills. All the drills are the same for each age group, the only difference is the skill of the player as they grow older. This has allowed Matthew to master the techniques and reinforce them on a continual basis, making him a stronger and more confident complete player. The other thing that Coerver Coaching has instilled in our players is discipline and the love for the game of soccer where they know who they are, where they are, and why they are on the soccer field"
-Steve McCarthy, Treasure Coast United, U-14 Boys Manager
"Ian was a good soccer player when he was in Recreational league, his athletic ability helped him to be the top player on his team. When he began taking the Coerver Camps and learned soccer the way it was supposed to be played, his skills were increased tenfold and his level of play really amazed us. We feel that in the past few years while Paul "Gibbo" has been here, the advancement of all the Treasure Coast players has been a sight to behold! The actual coaching has benefitted him by helping him know the game and thinking about what moves to make to advance the team, using strategies that have been ingrained in him. We are so grateful he has had the opportunity to be trained and coached by this group of professionals. It has truly been a worthwhile investment in our son. We have appreciated the stress on good character and sportsmanship also. We never envisioned that Ian might have a future playing soccer beyond middle school. He was a valuable player on his team at Stuart MIddle. The level of skills of the Treasure Coast United trained kids shows through at the school soccer games. We look forward to watching his skills improve and seeing him play for years to come."
-Joe and Vicki Weber (Ian's proud parents)
"The Coerver method of soccer coaching and player development was first introduced to my son and I in 1999, when Paul Gibbons and his coaches did a week long clinic here in Palm City. At the time my son Gregory was 10 years old.
When Paul actually moved to the Treasure Coast area in year 2001, we immediately signed up with the local club (Treasure Coast United) to make sure that Greg continued to receive Coerver training.
As a "Dad" coach, I could only reinforce so many techniques based on recreational style of play that was popular in this area. With Coerver, we now have true professionals teaching all the moves that takes an ordinary player into an extraordinary soccer player.
With the Coerver method, all our players receive constant development, and the drills are always different and always fun at each age level.
When our teams play in regionals, and at tournaments throughout the state of Florida, our club gains immediate recognition due to the excellent training our players continue to receive. In just the last 3-4 years, our club has grown from just 2 squads to 12, and several teams consistently win their respective tournaments, and we have four teams playing State Cup level.
The success of our club, and the higher level all our players have elevated to, is mostly due to their exposure to Gibbo and his Coerver Coaches.
-John Fleming, Palm City, FL
"Coerver training was a great experience for Jonathan. Its positive environment was very encouraging and Jonathan wanted to play harder. Coerver has raised Jonathan's confidence level in playing soccer; he plays better, has more fun, and is more motivated. Since taking Coerver, Jonathan has received many compliments on his playing from his coach and his team parents. Coerver is wonderful and I highly recommend it to all soccer players."
"This was David's second Coerver camp. The training with Steve Gummer has been demanding but always positive. Coerver has improved his footskills with what the kids call "cool moves", but more importantly the drills have taught him how to integrate these into the the flow and stratedgy of the game. He has learned how to attack as part of a small group with other members of his team. Coerver seems to help the kids learn to pass quickly and play as group so that they can become more than a collection of kids with impressive foot skills. David has come away with much better skills, a willingness to take risks, and an improved work ethic, all of which has increased his enjoyment of the game."
"Thanks for letting us know about Coerver. It really was a very beneficial training for Jonathan, especially its motivating factor. He said it made him want to play harder and better."
"I thought the 6 week Coerver clinic run by Steve and Sean was fabulous. My daughter felt the instruction helped her a great deal not only with her touch and moves but also with how to apply it tactically in real game situations. It also was great for fitness. I personally watched the final session and I was amazed with the intensity and the speed of the drills. That ball was flying, and in the right direction!"
“As a youth soccer dad and team manager, it has been very rewarding to be actively involved with my daughter’s soccer teams. Having Coerver trainers at the core of our soccer club has taken these girls far beyond what I could do with my own limited soccer skills and background.
The Coerver training they have received at Treasure Coast United Soccer Club has been well rounded in all aspects of the game, giving them the skills and confidence to play even the toughest opponents.”
